Summary:
Fairport Savings Bank is currently looking for a HR Manager to provide human resources services to over 60 employees. This role will manage the day to day Human Resources functions including recruitment and hiring, employee benefits, compensation, performance management, employee communication, training coordination and planning. They will also provide direct HR consultation and assistance to employees, supervisors and senior management.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assures that labor practices and all components of the HR department are operated in compliance with all government laws, rules and regulations. Remains updated and knowledgeable on all federal, New York State and banking industry laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the HR Dept functions.
• Recruits, interviews, tests and helps select employees to fill vacant positions.
• Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward the bank and a productive, enjoyable work experience.
• Administers all benefits plans including health and dental, other insurance, 401(k) and pension, ESOP, disability, workers compensation, and paid time off.
• Coordinates training in supervision, employment practices, performance management, harassment and other topics as required.
• Prepares and updates employee handbook.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
• Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and oversees exit interviews.
• Develops and manages employee communication and work life programs to promote a positive, productive work environment.
• Administers performance review programs to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
• Administers compensation program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization. Conducts wage surveys with the labor market to determine competitive wage rate and advices management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resource management or related course of study.
• Minimum of four year experience as a HR Generalist with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
• Experience managing compensation and benefit programs.
• Expertise in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and related software. Knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems a plus.
