Fairport Savings Bank Announces $1000 Legacy Scholarship Program

High School Seniors in Irondequoit, Webster, Penfield
and Fairport/Perinton Eligible to Apply

Fairport, NY, February 3, 2012– Fairport Savings Bank announced it is seeking applications for its 2012 Legacy Scholarship program. All high school seniors who reside in Irondequoit, Penfield, Perinton, Fairport, and Webster are eligible to apply. We hope you’ll help us spread the word and recognize today’s outstanding youth and tomorrow’s community leaders.

The Fairport Savings Bank Legacy Scholarship seeks to reward high school students who demonstrate the desire and ability to make a difference in his or her community. Four awards of $1,000 each will be given to students who express a commitment to service and carrying on this tradition in the future.

Fairport Savings Bank Legacy Scholarship Requirements

  • Demonstrates commitment to community service through volunteer activities
  • Maintains a "B" average or better in academic pursuits
  • Recommendations from a school administrator (counselor, administrator, or teacher) and a community service representative. Recommendations must address and verify community service activities
  • Intention to attend college upon graduation or pursue full-time community service commitment (such as Peace Corps or other program)
