FSB Legacy Scholarship Program
Do you know a high school senior who is making a difference in his or her community? Fairport Savings Bank would like to know more about them and possibly award them a Fairport Savings Bank $1,000 Legacy Scholarship!
The Fairport Savings Bank Legacy Scholarship seeks to recognize a young person who demonstrates the desire and ability to make a difference in his or her community. Four $1,000 awards will be given (one each in Fairport/Perinton, Penfield, Webster and Irondequoit), to a student who demonstrates a commitment to service and who will carry this tradition into the future.
Scholarship Requirements
- High School Student residing in either Fairport/Perinton, Penfield, Webster or Irondequoit who will be a Senior during the 2009–2010 school year
- Demonstrated commitment to community service through volunteer activities
- Maintains a “B” average or better in academic pursuits
- Recommendation of a school counselor, administrator or teacher. Recommendation must address and verify community service activities
- Intention to attend college upon graduation or pursue full-time community service commitment (such as Peace Corps or other program)
