Emails will be sent using Zix Corporation. This system will encrypt the data and deliver it to you through a secure portal.
Most often they are not. This means that your information has the potential to be intercepted or read by others.
You will receive an email that states “New ZIX secure email message from your loan originator@Fairportsavingsbank.com”
Once you receive the secure email notification, select the “open message” button. The first time you sign in, you’ll be prompted to create a password that will be linked to your email. Once that’s been done, you can use your email and password to access secure documents sent from Fairport Savings Bank.
You can attach up to 10 files with a total of 15 MB per message.
Yes. The secure email will display on your tablet or smartphone.
No, secure messages cannot be forwarded.
Messages will expire in 14 days.
As long as you have an active email from Fairport Savings Bank in your secure portal, you can login, reply and send secure emails to Fairport Savings Bank.
We believe in the high-level security of our system and recommend that it be used with all online correspondence. If you intend to use your own email encryption solution, please notify us in advance. We will then discuss it with our IT Department prior to our utilization of this system. We are not responsible for the security over your system and advise that you use due diligence to ensure your information is completely secure.
Fairport Savings Bank takes email security very seriously; therefore, it is our policy that all sensitive and confidential information must be sent securely. It is against our policy to send this information in an unsecure manner as it could pose risk to you and the bank.
While we do not advise sending documents this way, if you choose to do so, ensure that the system you are using has strong protection. Ideally, documents should be protected with at least 128-bit AES encryption.
The password should always be sent in a separate email from the protected document.
Yes. If you are a current customer, you can send information securely using our online banking system. Once enrolled, login to online banking and select “Message” at the top of the page. Any information you enter here will be delivered securely to Fairport Savings Bank.
